Step 1 Clean off the battery

If you have not cleaned off the battery and the collar at the end of last season we recommend you doing so. It is important to make sure the conduction holes are clear and not obstructed by dust or sediment.

Step 2 Apply Vaseline on
the battery poles

Simply apply a small amount of vaseline to the conduction holes using a Q-tip. 

Step 3 Ensure the battery is charged

Make sure you have a fully charged battery. If you have not charged it before storage its important to do so before inserting it into the collar to start the season.

Step 4 Insert the battery

Insert the battery, There should be a start up sound to indicate the collar is receiving power.

Step 5 Check the App and update

We always recommend making sure the collar is reporting before taking the collar to pasture. We also recommend the collar is in area of good connectivity before loading the first pasture of the season.
